St. Peter’s Regional ALS Center, the region’s only ALS Center continues to provide ALS patients and their families with a comprehensive and specialized blend of services and resources. ALS, often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, has been on the forefront of the St. Peter’s mission since 1988, when it opened its doors. Since that time, this pioneering program has established itself as a unique regional resource in upstate New York.
For the past 33 years, the ALS Memorial Open has served as the principal fundraiser for St. Peter’s ALS Regional Center, raising over $2.1 million! St. Peter’s ALS Center is financed by ambitious fundraising efforts and generous donations. The revenue raised allows this the ALS Center to care for those who need it most. On many occasions, insurance won’t cover services, durable medical equipment or other supportive requirements, leaving the full burden of expense and care directly upon the family. Resources are often exhausted early, and the combination of economic burden, coupled with the emotional challenges, makes the need for programs such as the ALS Regional Center more crucial.
We appreciate your willingness to consider supporting The ALS Memorial Open. Joining us in this local effort will leave a lasting impact for many years.
